The Spirit of Rothbard
While working on the AI tooling of my development setup and realizing that in order to get precise, detailed and true answers to the specific questions on topics of which the relatively smaller amount of training data for the model would be greatly improved by the use of specialized MCP-s, embedding models and RAG-s (retrieval augmented generation) another idea came to me.
I'm mostly working with Clojure and ClojureScript these days. Clojure is a beautiful, elegant, maximally expressive language with minimal syntax. These along with its stateless nature and REPL driven development makes it ideal for fast paced iterative AI assisted development. The initial disadvantage of using Clojure is that it is relatively less popular language and thus there's less training data available. The general concepts still apply but libraries, specific uses and often parenthesis matching can produce subtly inaccurate code. After introducing specialized tooling the development process is smooth, rapid and precise.
Often I find myself replying to comments on social media (mostly on X) on topics related to libertarianism and Austrian-school of economics perspectives. For someone who has spent considerable time investigating this literature, the logical flaws on the collectivist-statist-Keynesian front are obvious to refute. Still it takes time and effort to be accurate in expression and strict on arguments. But the raw amount of emotionally charged socialist propaganda that gets posted would quickly demerit answering.
This inspired me to create a tool to help answering and refuting these posts. It combines existing reasoning models with advanced AI tools like specialized MCP-s, embedding models and RAG fed with comprehensive selection of libertarian literature (books, articles, studies). The working code name I'm using for now is "The Spirit of Rothbard".
"The Spirit of Rothbard" will be like your knowledgeable anarcho-capitalist friend who in seconds will aide you in your answers. Hopefully in such way, we the proponents of libertarianism can convince more people to choose the non-violent way to liberty and prosperity, in the words of a renowned Spanish economist Miguel Anxo Bastos - "Capitalismo, ahorro y trabajo duro" (Capitalism, savings and hard work).
I hope to get the first version of the MVP in coming weeks. It will be available on https://rospi.galt.is ¡VLLC!
